Artist Statement
My work explores the day to day human experience through the lens of my own life and journey as a queer woman. I am interested in how we relate to ourselves and one another and how landscape shapes our relationships and reflects our emotional states. Nature serves as both witness and catalyst to our most intimate moments, influencing how we reach for each other and retreat into ourselves. Using color as my primary language, I examine how we navigate solitude, love, and belonging in connection with the landscape around us. I want viewers to feel the energy vibrating off the canvas and recognize their own stories within these painted narratives.
